Sharing a Room

So after my potty training fail I, for some reason, felt it necessary to take on another challenge: Getting the boys to share a room. There was a brief period when Joel was around 4 months old when the boys shared a room, but after a few weeks we gave up because they kept waking each other up. Now we are back at it again. It's been almost a week. They've managed to sleep through the night just twice. Once we've given up and put Joel in his crib and twice Joel has woke up in the middle of the night and refused to go back in bed in Sammy's room so he got tossed in his crib downstairs. This is a double move for Joel - both from a crib to a big boy bed and from sleeping alone to sharing a room. Here's the boys three nights ago:

We haven't had as much success with naptime. It's been more of a two hour extended playtime that I just couldn't take. So they are separated for naps for now. But bedtime is going okay. I thought I was going to lose it tonight though when they thought it was really funny to keep calling my name. I believe my last words to them were "Stop calling my name or I'm going to spank your bottoms." Let's just say Zondervan Press probably isn't going to be knocking on my door anytime soon with a Christian parenting book deal! :) But God is so good and so merciful. This is what I just found when I peeked in on them before going to bed:

It was so sweet I had to run downstairs and blog it. Thank you, Lord, for such sweet boys!

Aww, that is too sweet :) We want to put our girls in the same room, too, but I'm waiting til after Karlie is 2.
