Samanta and Joleen

Oh, where to even begin with this story. Samuel and Joel came up to me yesterday and wanted me to put towels/blankets around them so they could "be girls" (as you may well guess, this was Samuel's idea and Joel was just copying whatever he did). So I wrapped them up and sent them on their merry way. They ran around and jumped up and down. Samuel went on and on about being girls. So then I told them they needed girl names and I dubbed them "Samantha" and "Joleen". Samuel found this to be hilarious and kept calling out for "Joleen" to do this or that. Then I asked if they wanted better dresses and Samuel was super excited. I went upstairs and got a shirt of mine for Joel and a dress of mine for Samuel. I put them on them and that lasted for about 2 seconds (long enough for me to snap the wonderful blackmail photo) before Samuel decided it was much more fun with the towels clipped on them. So we were back to the towels.

They have played this dress up game for the past two days straight. The funny part is that once one of their towels falls off, the other rips theirs off and then they run around with Samuel shouting "we're naked girls" and Joel repeating "tudies, tudies" (our word for naked). Hilarious.

The confusion continues, however, because Samuel has changed his name from SamanTHa to SamanTa. And then last night as we were driving around looking at Christmas lights, Samuel exclaimed, "Look mom, there's Samanta the Christmas guy."

You need to write that one down! Wish I could remember more of the fun and funny times with our 3 boys.
