We had new windows installed last week on our first floor (we had the upstairs done last fall). The boys were SOOO excited to watch the worker mans doing their job. They stood on the couch and watched through the whole thing. I thought maybe they would get scared from the noise or the fact that these men were ripping our house apart, but they continued to jump up and down and keep their eyes glued on the action.

we have the same ikea mirrors. i got mine at a yard sale in NC. :o)
why new windows?
We got new windows in the house b/c the original windows (from 1952) were old and not very energy efficient. We will even get a tax credit for putting in the new windows! Plus it's just nice to be able to open and close them without any problems.
