Back to Blogging

Well, it apparently is going to take a week in the hospital with high-speed internet for me to get back into the blogging world!!

I have a month's worth of photos and videos ready to post on here while I'm in the hospital. I got the cutest card today in the mail from Lois & Piper (so good to hear from you!!) that had a picture of a mom carrying a big load of laundry. It said "I can't wait to blog about this." Very funny! That has pretty much been my life for the past few weeks: same-o, same-o. But that's a good thing! We've been enjoying a normal pace of life and have been thankful for those days that just seem so routine.

Ed and I will head downtown Wednesday night. We are going to a show at the improv Olympic and then we got a room at the Hilton Suites. It's only about 4 blocks from the hospital. It will be nice to have a night away and then we will be that much closer to the hospital. I think I have to be there at about 6:00am. I'll get the call tomorrow for my exact surgery time.

I will be sure to have Ed update everyone on how the surgery went. So many people have let me know they are praying for me and our family. We love all of you and we're so thankful for the love you've shown us. I'm not nervous about the surgery, just not looking forward to the recovery. But God has been so good and so faithful through all of this and I am trusting in Him. My friend Keyna prayed today that we bring our requests before God not based on our merit but as an appeal to His character. It was such a good thing to hear and to be reminded that the God I call on is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.

We'll keep you all posted. Love to all!

Leah, I pray for a speedy recovery. Ed, I've been praying for your patience and ability to juggle more responsibility. I love you both so so so much. I hate being so far away that I can't offer food and babysitting. Know that you are loved and prayed for.
