Our friends Dave and Coricia and their little girl Grace came to visit us last weekend. We had a great time hanging around with them. Grace is a few months older than Samuel and they are expecting another little one in another month. Samuel thought it was just the best idea to have a playmate right in the house that could play from the time he got up until the time he went to bed! We went to the Field Museum on Saturday and to a fancy restaurant in Greek Town for lunch (note: we did not realize it was a fancy restaurant until it was too late!). We out for breakfast after church on Sunday and then they headed back home to Ohio. Coricia is the photographer of the group, so she took most of the pictures all weekend. The highlight of the weekend for Ed was popcorn night on Saturday. He brought home a special popcorn popper they have up at his work and he was out of his mind to make some popcorn in it. Let's just say it was way more exciting in his mind than in reality. We ended up popping a bag of Orville Redenbacher in the microwave! Here's the excitement building:

those photos don't do justice to the excitement and thrill that the popcorn machine provided. Just look at Samuel's face.
I concur with tenjuices. Forget the new baby.... The popcorn maker will go down as the highlight of my spring.
