Do you ever feel like you've become your mother?

Now, I love my mom, don't get me wrong! And in most things I am happy to be like my mom. She is a great, GREAT hostess. Hospitality is definitely her spiritual gift and I am so thankful for her example. She is also very crafty and creative. And she really cares about other people.

BUT, this woman can not make garlic bread to save her life.

Seriously. She burns it EVERY time.

And, apparently, it's hereditary...

Thanks Mom.

I feel a challenge here. I'll be making garlic bread for dinner and post a BEAUTIFUL picture on my blog to prove it. Okay, so if you don't see the picture you'll know I burned it again! I love you, Leah!

Now that I've looked at the picture a little closer I see what your problem was--you were using my old baking sheet!

I'm laughing - this is too funny!

Oh my goodness! My mom always burned our grilled cheese and cinnamon toast. I remember when we were first married, thinking to myself smugly, 'I must be better at this than my mom since I don't burn anything"! Well, now that I have kids (and I've just got two, not four like my mom did), I burn stuff all the time. Tonight featured tomato soup and you guessed it...burned grilled cheese!

Funny Ed. I've got lots of timers, but who has time to set them?
