We just returned from Joel's 1 month checkup. As a reminder, he was 6lbs,10oz and 19.75" long when he was born. Today he weighed 8lbs,12oz. and was 20.25" long. That's a weight gain of 2lbs,2oz in just 4 weeks!! What a chunk!
To answer a question in the comments from my previous post, I am still nursing Joel on demand. He usually nurses every 1-2 hours during the day. Then he usually has 2 4-hour stretches at night between feedings. We are working our way into a 3-hour schedule during the day, but he's not there yet. He also does not like his pacis (unlike his brother) so it's a little harder to stretch him out from feeding to feeding.
G&G Seitz are here for a visit this week, so we'll have pictures coming soon.

well I would hope if you're feeding him every 1-2 hours during the day that he'd be gaining that much :) Holy smokes! Sounds like you'll be at 20 lbs in no time - ha ha!
Weren't G&G Seitz just there a weekend or so ago? Just kidding...I'm sure they love being so close!
We need a babysitter down here, maybe they could take a quick jog down...
