A Must Have...

As most of you know, I am really into baby slings. I loved using them with Samuel. He was in one from the day he came home from the hospital until I was too big with Joel to be able to carry Samuel in one. Slings made everything so much easier. Well, I had no idea just how handy they could be - that is, until I put Joel in the sling today. As great as the sling is with a first baby, it is an absolute Must Have with the second. Ed and I took the boys to the library today and I wore Joel in a sling. I was still able to get down and play with Samuel. And then this afternoon, I took the boys on a walk to the park. I put Joel in the sling and Samuel in the stroller and we were off. It was so easy to help Samuel manuever around the playground equipment with Joel safely tucked away in the sling. And then tonight, Ed and I were eating dinner and I was able to put Joel in the sling so he wouldn't fuss and I could still eat. How great! Here is a pic of the pouch sling I'm currently using (I made this one a few weeks before Joel was born) as well as the silly pic Ed took of me eating with Joel. And I couldn't resist throwing in some extra shots with Joel. I'm also including a video we took of Samuel this morning as he licked Ed's ice pack - weird, I know!
