Why I love Craigslist...
Ever since someone introduced me to Craigslist in Raleigh, I have been a BIG fan. Ed and I have bought and sold a ton of things - from furniture to small appliances to baby items. I wanted to share my latest find with you - a rocking horse. I bought this horse for $5 off of craigslist. It is BRAND NEW. The woman I bought it from said she received it as a gift but her kids didn't like it. She didn't know how much it cost, so she just put it on craigslist for $5. As soon as I got home I looked it up and this horse costs $59.99 at Target. Wow! It is the cutest thing - it clip-clops and neighs when you press its ears. Samuel loves it! If no one has been kind enough to tell you about Craigslist yet, please take my advice and check it out. The link in the beginning will take you to the Chicago Craigslist. I was planning to leave some snarky comment about there not being a craigslist anywhere near us, but I clicked on the link and... they are in Pakistan, China, and Russia, all countries in our general neighborhood. Nothing in Tajikistan, but I'm impressed. Next time I'm in Islamabad, maybe I'll pick up a $5 rocking horse too.
