The other day I set Samuel in his Bumbo seat on the countertop while I did the dishes. I was feeding him a banana and really feeling pleased with how well he was sitting there entertaining himself. Then I looked over and saw him trying to put a pen in the toaster! I freaked out and unplugged it ASAP. Then I looked at him again and saw him sticking his hand in the toaster, pulling it out, and licking his fingers! What in the world was he up to?
As you can see, he had been jamming every piece of banana I handed him straight into the toaster. He then proceeded to eat it back out of the toaster. Gross! Needless to say, we are now in search of a new toaster. And a more observant mother, as well.
p.s. I gave up on the Blogger video upload. YouTube lives on.

Forget about finding a more observant mother... you'll just have to do. By the way, congratulations on your pregnancy. We were away on vacation so I only got to read your announcement today. Good thing you have the babywearing thing already figured out. I wish I had (although I tried). The video isn't working. I used it a few weeks ago and it worked fine (for my slingring demo).
I'd say that Samual isn't small at all for his age...after all sticking banana in the toaster is very creative! After all who wouldn't want a toasted banana! I also think that he is taking after his mommy in being a little bit crazy...sticking fingers in electrical things! :)

I swear it sounds like Samuel said "I don't know" when you asked him where his banana was and "I didn't do it" when you asked him how it got there. Listen again and see if you don't here it!!
Oops...I meant to type "see if you don't HEAR it". And he looks so innocent!!
hahahha! that's so cute!
Mom, you are so right! I'm sure it is the power of suggestion at work here, but it totally sounds like he says "I don't know" and "I didn't do it"!! Ha, ha!
I'm amazed that every other kid I know with a Bumbo seat sits so nice in them. Camden refuses to sit still in his, and wiggles out within about 20 seconds. And he's been doing that since he was like 5 1/2 months old! UGH!
Thats not so bad. I am told that Ella ate horse poo today at Shipshe.
Hey Ed and Leah, miss you guys already. Thanks for taking such great care of me in my new home away from home. I had such a good time getting to know you and am looking forward to hanging out again. Happy Birthday to my Dogg Sammy. Big ups little bud!
Peace

Hi! I saw your blog on Anthony and Jackie's site and had to come visit! I hope you remember me from FA...my son is 2 now, and the Dr.s kept telling me he was small for his age. However, it ended up he is just short! My new pediatrician assured me that his development was up to speed and that I shouldn't worry myself that he wasn't on the charts. Samuel is so cute, and congrats on #2...we just had our second, and they're all such a blessing!!
wow that is really gross. i can see me doing that as a child...haha. Congrats on baby#2!
